I’m sure this beautiful sculpture at Pére Lachaise was intended to be comforting. It certainly is a remarkable work of art. To me, though, it seemed kind of creepy, especially on this gloomy day. The original photo was just average, but the grave definitely left an impression, and I wanted to include it on the site. After applying a variety of filters and goofing around, I came up with an image that (I hope) provokes a response similar to the one I experienced upon seeing the grave.
