Lofoten is just magic, with surprises and unbelievable scenery around every bend. Consider, for example, this beach on the island of Flakstadøya. With all the greens and blues, one might think we were in a tropical location. Obviously, that wasn’t the case.

Significant tidal shifts also add interest. When the tide is out, it’s way out, leaving a wide swath of beach and a cornucopia (what else?) of photographic possibilities.
