Vågan Church (also known as Lofoten Cathedral) is located in the town of Kabelvåg, a couple miles down the road from Svolvær. The church dates from 1898. Constructed primarily of wood, it has survived more than a century of harsh (sometimes vicious) Nordland weather quite well.
