Another peek at Karl Johans Gate, decked out for the holidays. Despite the high prices, I love this boulevard. It’s mostly a pedestrian-only zone, with lots of shops, restaurants, bars and official buildings. There’s a comfortable ambience, with plenty of people walking about, street musicians, and many languages being spoken. Susanne and I stopped in for a beer at the place on the left (with the awning).
Here’s an opinion. Oslo is a very cool city, with a cosmopolitan feel, green space, and lots to see, without the crush or stress of many larger cities.
