Neither Dad nor I noticed the face in this old volcanic plug (at least I think that’s what it is) when we were taking our photos. We were so focused on getting the proper exposures and waiting for the sun to break through the clouds just right, that we totally missed the obvious. It wasn’t until I got the prints back that I saw the "Viking" in this photo. The helmet, hair, nose, eyes. . . I believe this is what they call "not seeing the forest for the trees."
