The Big Chief formation, atop Thunderbird Mesa. This wind- and sand-sculpted profile is quite remarkable. It doesn’t take much imagination to visualize the nose, mouth and even some kind of head covering. I’m not good at estimating, but the “head” you see here is probably about 50 feet across.
