Pottery Arch is one place you definitely will not see unless you hire a Navajo guide. We would not have seen it either, if I hadn’t asked our guide, Herb from Kayenta, to show us a spot that he likes, a place that most people don’t know about. He took us here, to Pottery Arch. You’d never even know it existed unless someone pointed you directly to it. Herb also worked with your most preferred photographer (me) to approach various locations from the best side to utilize available light. He even sang a traditional Navajo song as we wandered around, gawking at the incredible scenery. It was an unforgettable day, thanks to our excellent guide. Herb, if you ever read this, thanks (ahéhee')!
