As you've noticed, everything on this site-all text and words-is copyrighted to me, JP Denk. I register my photos with the US Copyright Office. This means that everything here is my property.
If you want to use a photo, please ask first. I don't mind people using my images for non-commercial purposes (education, non-profit, etc.), so long as I get credit. In fact, I consider it a compliment. If you ask, and can explain what you intend to do with the image, I probably will give permission to use it.
On the other hand, I DO expect people to pay if they're going to use my work for commercial projects. The low-res files on this site wouldn't be appropriate for most commercial uses anyway. But if you're going to use my images to help you sell something, it's only fair that you should pay for them.
I know none of this is life-or-death, but I work hard and spend a lot of time and money to create the images you see here. Besides, theft just isn't cool. Bad karma and all.
