Mt. Washington (NH) Railway Locomotive and Passenger Car. When I was a kid, my family regularly visited New Hampshire. A few times, we rode the cog railway to the top of Mt. Washington. It's a dramatic trip, second steepest railway in the world. May have been downright scary in 1890 (or so), when I believe this photo was taken. This image was produced by photographing and processing the left-hand frame of a stereographic negative (the right-hand frame was missing). I consider it one of my best reclamation efforts.
